This is a time to focus on you, Mama! You've created new life, and feel your baby grow every day. My job is to create images that, years from now, will bring you right back to this moment in time.
Maternity sessions are a wonderful way to make you feel empowered in your pregnancy and as a woman in general, and remember just how much of a goddess you are! It's no easy feat bringing life into this world and our bodies run the gauntlet doing so. My goal is to have you see your final images and feel so empowered by them that you will forget about the nausea, aches and pains and swollen feet.
The Maternity Experience
The Process
1. Consultation
We will communicate by email or phone to discuss what it is you are hoping for in your session. We can schedule an appointment so you can check out my wardrobe and try on anything you like and go over more details and any concerns or questions you may have.
2. Session Day
Get ready to bring out your inner goddess and feel empowered! It is recommended to have your hair and make up professionally done for your session. Currently I don't have an stylist/makeup artist to provide this service so you'd have to book this on your own. Your wardrobe selections you've made will be ready for you as well.
These sessions are meant to be fun! I like to crank the tunes and be casual and have some laughs while we create stunning portraits that will rival a vogue cover.
There will also be snacks and refreshments for you!
3. Image Delivery
Roughly 2 weeks after your session I will deliver an online gallery to you to marvel at your fully retouched portraits and decide which collection you'd like to purchase.
Once you make your purchase, you will be able to instantly download your images to share with friends and family.
Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of any printed artwork you order.
Frequently Asked Questions
1.When is the right time to book a maternity session?
The best time to book is when you are approximately28-36 weeks. Your belly is usually nice and round and beautiful to photograph at this stage!
2.How long is a maternity session?
Most sessions run up to around 2 hours.
3.Is hair and makeup included?
Unfortunately at this time I do not offer this service but I am hoping to in the future!
4.Can my spouse or other children be included in the photos?
Absolutely! This is completely up to you and there is no additional cost.
4.Can I bring my own outfits/accessories?
This is entirely up to you. I have gowns and dresses that are specific for maternity sessions. What I do recommend is purchasing nude/skin tone coloured undergarments for the session if you don't already own them. It's easier for my editing and they don't show through clothing.
